Order a Pizza for your PS3 (PizzaStation 3?)
When you thought that curing cancer was the best thing a PS3 can do, well now you can order Pizza!
Shacknews have reported that PSN members in the states have been given a mailer to really shine on it’s new slogan “It Only Does Everything”. It’s getting there with a direct from PS3 order facility to grab a pizza from Papa John’s, which is pretty cool!
I’ve never had a Papa John’s pizza before, but the girlie assures me they are most “om nom nom” [note, don't quote somebody while they are eating again - ed.].
It seems this service is only state-side at the moment, which will make you US readers most happy I hope. No word on anything in the UK yet, but I don’t live near delivery distance so I don’t care… (but I wish I did!). In the UK at least we get iPlayer support direct from the XMB, even if it only loads a browser window it allows easy access to iPlayer.
But as gimmicky as these things sound, it’s how these things start; online ordering pizza was a gimmick, but now people use it regularly that services have popped up offering independent delivery services to offer online ordering. With the PS3 becoming more and more of a media centric device, rather than booting up a computer ordering through the PS3 will just make the whole process quicker… if you got a keyboard or the PS3 chat pad attached otherwise I can imaging it’s a bitch!
Here’s to laziness!
