Get in Rock Band

Rock Band is opening it’s doors to, literally, everybody to get their music heard in the game.

The Rock Band Network allows anybody to upload their tracks to the network and, if approved, appear in Rock Band the game. Better yet, this system isn’t just another company freeloading off your creations, they are offering a cut of sales made from people downloading the tracks.

So overall, how is this going to work?

From my understanding you can use either actual tracks from music you’ve created (say if you are in a real band) or work from a Midi creator that’s been developed by the guys behind Reaper. You can then upload the track and get feedback from the community on how to improve it before it finally getting through to what ever market-place and start earning from downloads.

Will be cool to see more tracks by indie artists out there who would normally not of got to appear in anything like this without the help of a major label.
