ASCIIpOrtal
Who would of thought that somebody would go ahead and make a (theoretically) graphic-less version of Portal using ASCII?
We’ve seen the flash base one before, which is a good bit of fun, but the lengths this one has gone through is very impressive. It may not look like much, but the fact that rather than doing the simple 2D static view that the flash version did, ASCIIpOrtal tries to give you a view and perspective of the portal adding some really complex logic to the code!
Joe Larson of Cymons Games, who is developing the “de-make”, has just finished taking applications for the close beta so hopefully we should see something playable soon!
