Phil Harrison Leaves as President of Atari
Phill Harrison has, in a surprise move today, left his post as President of Atari to a non-executive role.
This move comes with the news that Atari in Europe would be owned, in part, by Namco Bandi and that many of the executive roles will be moved across the pond to the US.
Statement made by Atari said
“Because of a shift of business operations to the US, Phil Harrison will move from the role of President to that of non-executive Director of the Group. As all Board members, he will continue to assist, support and guide the Company’s strategy.”
To him replaced by Jeff Lapin as COO (former CEO of both THQ and Take Two).
Once a representative director SCEI and Executive Vice President of SCEE, Harrison left in March 3, 2008 to join Infogrames Entertainment SA, now Atari.
